About Me
I’m a licensed mental health counselor committed to helping adults learn how to identify and acknowledge barriers to their wellbeing and overcome them. My work focuses on targeting unhelpful thought patterns, habits, and beliefs that contribute to distress & anxiety and working to resolve them. I assist with healing from past experiences that interfere with the present and help incorporate new skills to help manage distress. I believe in taking a collaborative approach to helping clients identify and reach their goals. My main areas of focus include Anxiety, Perinatal/Postpartum Mental Health, Trauma, and Nutritional & Integrative Medicine
MODALITIES
I primarily utilize a cognitive behavioral therapy approach. This modality aims to raise awareness of how perceptions feed beliefs and behaviors, then reframe them to help meet goals. I am trained in EMDR and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and incorporate modalities such as mindfulness and positive psychology.
PERSONAL STATEMENT
It can be hard to reach out for help, but it can also be the thing that will benefit you the most. It takes more strength than we realize to do just that and I encourage you to take that initial step towards positive change.
